For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to have a cooking school In 2012 renowned cook Sally Wise and her husband Robert moved from the home where they had raised their children to a farm in Tasmania's Derwent Valley. Here, among orchards full of fruit trees and a rapidly expanding household of aplacas, chickens and assorted others, Sally began to make plans to establish her long-dreamed of cooking school. And gathering bounty from the new farm, the surrounding markets, and her new neighbours, she started to cook .... Sally has always wanted her own cooking school, and her own farm, where she could grow the things she wants to cook with. One day she and her husband came across a property in Tasmania's Derwent Valley with an orchard full of fruit trees, and a funny old chalet/cabin out the back. A plan began to take shape...In this, her latest book, Sally shares 250 recipes she's gathered over a year of growing, cooking, setting up school and house and managing an eccentric household of family and other animals. Like Sally's early best-seller, A Year in a Bottle, this is a charming portrait of tree-change and a cookbook to treasure. Contents include:
