Mark Olive's Outback Cafe is an Australian publication. All recipe measurements are in metric and metric cup & spoon. About the author Mark Olive (born Wollongong 1962), also known as the Black Olive, is a Bundjulung man and an Indigenous Australian chef. Mark had a cooking segment on the ABC TV's Message Stick series and later got his own TV cooking series, The Outback Cafe, on which this book is based. In 2008 Mark established his own catering business to share the tastes and flavours of Indigenous Australia, and he now cooks regularly for clients including Tourism Australia at corporate, public and cultural events around the country and the internationally, bringing his signature infusions of contemporary outback flavours to every occasion. Mark’s business was chosen as one of the destinations on Oprah’s Victorian itinerary when she travelled to Australia in 2010 with her Ultimate Audience.
