About the author

Dr Ruth Cilento (born 1925) is the daughter of Sir Raphael and Lady Phyllis Cilento and the sister of Diane Cilento. She was born in Adelaide and graduated in medicine and surgery from Queensland University in 1949. For 22 years she worked in general practice and also in government hospitals in the field of child guidance, alcoholism and general psychiatry until 1994. Her success in helping people who are terminally ill and who have chronic, painful disease, has brought many with cancer and other devastating illnesses to her clinic. She is a world-renowned holistic medical practitioner, specialising in alternative treatment for cancer. She is also a sculptor and the author of 2 cancer-related books - Heal Cancer and Anti-Cancer Cookbook plus 2 books about Alzheimers Disease.
