Since being diagnosed with coeliac disease, Sue has maintained a strong commitment to educating people with special dietary needs, which has led to countless invitations to present at medical conferences in Australia and around the world. In recognition of her research and advocacy, Sue has received the annual Award for Achievement from the Dietitians Association of Australia, and also the Young Investigator Award from the Gastroenterological Society of Australia. Sue is recognised internationally as a leading expert dietitian in the area of coeliac disease and irritable bowel syndrome.
