About the author Patrick Ness (born Fort Belvior, USA in 1971) is an author, radio scriptwriter and a literary critic for the Guardian. He is the author of 2 novels for adults and the Chaos Walking Trilogy for children/young adults. The Knife of Never Letting Go was his first book for young adults.
