About the author

Jason Merchey is a philosophical thinker, author, speaker, coach, poet, blogger, Internet radio show host, and, occasionally, "the Wise Guy." He was born in Southern California and raised Jewish in a Christian area somewhere between Hollywood and Disneyland and Orange County. His faith in organized religion and America as an ideal society faded at about the time that he gained critical thinking skills and his parents divorced. Jason graduated from the University of California (Irvine) with highest honors, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and earned a Master's degree in clinical psychology from California State University (Fullerton). As part of aspiring to a life of value, he has an active recreational life, including hanging out with his three pets, playing disc golf, driving his convertible, riding his mountain bike, being in the sun, and enjoying movies, music and photography.
