Bake and Decorate is a UK publication. Measurements are in metric and metric cup & spoon. About the Author Fiona Cairns made the cake for Prince William and Catherine Middleton's 2011 Royal Wedding. Fiona trained as a pastry chef at the Michelin-starrede Hambleton Hall. Her greatest innovation was the miniature cake - since widely copied - and first sold to the Conran Shop while working from her kitchen table. She has supplied cakes to Fortnum & Mason for 15 years and her company now bakes 750,000 exquisite cakes every year for Waitrose, Harrods, Selfridges and Le Bon Marche in Paris. Fiona has made bespoke cakes for Bono, Pink Floyd, Simply Red and Sinead O'Connor and she also makes Sir Paul McCartney's Christmas cake every year. Despite the fact that her bakery doubled in size in 2010, Fiona loves home baking and still makes cakes at home for friends and family. She lives in Leicestershire with her husband and two children. Her first book, Bake and Decorate, was published in 2010.
