Large softcover book with lots of full-colour photos throughout, 304 pages. Published 2010
Putting a plant in the ground and watching it flower for the first time - or see it double in size or produce fruits the size of tennis balls - is such an exciting thing. It includes great feature plants that require very little looking after and still look like prima donnas, and wonderful flowering plants that will happily bloom and brighten up the months without needing to be molly coddled.
Being plant savvy is all about choosing the right plants for your garden's soil type and climatic region - and there’s no point wasting hundreds of dollars on water-hungry plants when you have no intention of watering more than once a week for five minutes while the dinner’s on.
It’s about gardening smarter - so that, with minimal care, you can reap all the fantastic rewards.
