Used softcover book in very good condition, 105 pages published 2008 by ABC Books
If you have always dreamt of a garden that requires minimum labour while providing maximum yield, then no-dig gardening is for you. It's a modern approach to gardening for busy people, and its organic methods have enormous health and environmental benefits.
No-Dig Gardening is both an introduction to the basic principles of this type of gardening and a practical 'how to' guide to getting the most out of your garden using organic approaches. It details the simplest of methods but also demonstrates many other ways to be adventurous with no-dig gardens. The layering of organic matter, without diggins, means that no-dig gardens can be built anywhere - on top of concrete or lawn, in hay bales and tree stumps, or even in old gum boots! No-dig gardens can be built any time, anywhere and to any size or shape you want.
Features include:
- a step-by-step guide to building and maintaining no-dig gardens
-
a comprehensive alphabetical listing of all suitable plants
- building community no-dig gardens catering for the elderly and disabled
- no-dig gardens children will love to create
- dealing with pests and diseases organically
- troubleshooting along the way
Esther Deans started the No-Dig phenomenon in the late 1970s with her book Growing without Digging. Now, here is the No-Dig Gardening book for the 21st Century.
