About the Author
Roger A Morse was a professor of apiculture at Cornell University. An enthusiastic beekeeper for more than 50 years, he and his father once operated 400 colonies of bees. Professor Morse consulted and undertook research in more than 60 countries through the sponsorship of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, the National Science Foundation, the US Department of Agriculture, the US Army and Cornell University. The author of many books and several hundred popular and scientific articles on bees and beekeeping, Roger Morse died in 2000.
