Author Dr Lucy Blunt is a Clinical Psychologist, mother and breast cancer survivor who knows, as a mum, the fears and concerns involved in telling children about cancer. This book is honest, clear and often humerous. It offers support and comfort to children and is an invaluable resource for their family, school and the wider community.

One quarter of the people diagnosed with cancer each year have children under 18 years. Upon diagnosis these parents always ask "what will I tell my children?" This book is the essential resource for children, parents, the extended family, friends, the teacher and the school community to help normalize the treatment of cancer.

About the author

Dr Lucy Blunt is a Clinical Psychologist and has worked with children and families since 1990, including working for the NSW Department of Community Services, the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychology at the Sydny Children's Hospital and in private practice. She is also the psychologist on Australia's Top Model and counsels the girls as they get booted off!

Eloise Osborn is Lucy Blunt's daughter. She was 11 when she volunteered to do the illustrations so that other children can learn about what is like to have a mother and family go through breast cancer treatment
