This cookbook has imperial measurements, although there aren't a lot of ingredients or recipes that actually need precise measurements. A spill-proof laminated metric/imperial conversion sheet will be included with the book. Even though conversions can be a nuisance, kids can extend their arithmetic skills in a fun, practical way with these recipes.

About the author:

Theodor Seuss Geisel (March 2, 1904 – September 24, 1991) was an iconic and beloved American writer and cartoonist, better known by his pen name, Dr. Seuss. He published over 60 children's books, which were often characterized by his imaginative characters, rhyme and frequent use of trisyllabic meter. His most notable books include the bestselling classics Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat, and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. Numerous adaptations of his work have been created, including eleven television specials, three feature films and a Broadway musical. Geisel also worked as an illustrator for advertising campaigns, most notably for Flit and Standard Oil, and as a political cartoonist for PM, a New York magazine. During World War II, he joined the Army to work in an animation department of the Air Force, where he wrote Design for Death, a film that later won the 1947 Academy Award for Documentary Feature.

Georgeanne Brennan is an award-winning cookbook author and journalist who has won national acclaim for her evocative and lyrical writing about food and gastronomy. Her expertise ranges from farming and agriculture to history and food lore. A charming and inspiring teacher, as well as a writer, she captivates and imbues her students with her enthusiasm and knowledge about the pleasures of food and the table. She has written 6 cookbooks. Georgeanne lives with her husband on their small farm in Northern California. They have four children.
