Rachel Renee Russell was born and raised in Saint Joseph, Michigan. She is the oldest child in a family of 5. She wrote her first book in 6th grade as a birthday present for her younger twin brothers. In addition to writing children’s books, Rachel is an attorney. She currently lives in Aldie, Virginia.
